Initial Situation

Initiative to address Skills Shortages

In 2010, the Schaffhausen Industry & Commerce Association (IVS) realised that a coordinated initiative was required to address the increasing shortage of suitable specialist staff in technical disciplines.

To address this need, Generis AG led the development of a Trust, «go tec!». The Trust’s aim is to engage and enthuse children and young people for Maths, Science, Tech and IT subjects.

Tried and Tested Concept and Approach

At the heart of go tec! is the go tec! Lab, an adventure park of Maths, Science, Tech & IT for children and young people. The go tec! Generis AG was responsible for development of the concept, as well as the subsequent planning and establishment of the go tec! Lab which has received national acclaim. Generis AG continues to support further development of the programme offer and promotion of the go tec! Lab.

Michel Rubli

President of the Trust,
The go tec! Schaffhausen Trust

«Without the consolidation of political and economic forces and the committed project management by Generis in the development of go tec! Lab, this national lighthouse project of MINT-promotion would not have been possible. I still value the Generis today as a reliable partner. »
