Generis acquires stakes in telecom software companies
November 15, 2019
Generis AG recently took over the insolvent Nexus Telecom AG and turned it back into operation within a very short time. The globally active company specialises in the provision of systems for monitoring, maintaining and quickly solving problems in the network quality of mobile phone providers.
Founded in 1994, Nexus Telecom AG has developed over the years into a global leader in network monitoring for mobile phone providers. After a bankruptcy caused by third parties, a group of Swiss investors centred around Generis AG together with key employees of the former Nexus Telecom AG took over the bankruptcy estate in a multi-stage bidding process. They are now continuing operations under the new company Nexus Telecom Switzerland AG and under new management from Schaffhausen.
In recent months, Nexus Telecom Switzerland AG has been rebuilt and has been able to win back a large proportion of its former customers. As a result, previously lost jobs could be created again. The aim is to become one of the leading global companies in the field of network monitoring of mobile telephone systems again as soon as possible. This is to be achieved through targeted investments to expand development capacities and innovative projects in the areas of 5G, Internet of Things or Smart City.
