万事如意 Chen Xia!

Xia Chen came to Generis with the fascination of combining her love for her old home in China with that to her new home in Schaffhausen and the ambition to act as an ambassador and intercultural bridge builder between Switzerland and China. Together with Thomas Holenstein and Marco Rhyner, Xia Chen built up the China business for Generis. First within the framework of the SECO mandate, later in the development of the Generis subsidiary in Beijing. Then she took over and important role in the entry into the business of Chinese regional development as well as in the support of the numerous consulting mandates such as the economic development of the Canton of Schaffhausen, Location Switzerland, Cleantech Switzerland or Sino Swiss Low Carbon Cities (SSLCC).

Xia Chen not only brought China into the business development of Generis, but also taught our team a lot about Chinese culture. She says goodbye to our team with her book “My Schaffhausen”, in which she explains the location of Schaffhausen from a Chinese perspective and shows the advantages of the region.

We wish her all the best, lots of fun with new ideas and the future, and thank her sincerely for her great commitment to Generis in her almost 20 years on the team!
