Strategy development

for the Zurich Commercial Association

A future rooted in tradition

Project

The Commercial Association (Kaufmännischer Verband) is one of the key traditional employee associations in Switzerland. For 150 years, it has united two worlds: playing an essential role as a social partner and representative of employee interests, while simultaneously employing an enterpreneurial mindset and approach. Different opinions and values intersect here – this is a strength that defines the association, yet also presents challenges.

In recent years, it has become clear that a fundamental revision of both the organization’s strategy and its membership model are needed in order for the Commercial Association to remain relevant. Guided by the principle “Empowering people. Together we are the future”, the Commercial Association will realign itself, reducing complexity and positioning the association to meet emerging challenges from the new world of work.

Generis is developing and facilitating a strategy process tailored to the Commerical Association’s needs. A series of workshops will analyze key challenges. Concrete solutions, such as tactics for enhancing the attractiveness of the association and designing a new membership model, will be developed and their feasibility assessed. A new impact model will provide structure and ensure a clear, binding, and actionable strategy.

The goal: an impact-oriented strategy, specific to its target group and equipped with clear priorities and a process that can be widely adopted. The new orientation for the Commercial Association is intended to bring together the interests of all organization units within the association and make it attractive to both existing and emerging target groups.

Overcome uncertainty, achieve impact.

Let's go!
